Use commas for separate pages and hyphens for ranges, such as 1-3,5,8-10.

Extract selected pages

Click previews or enter source page numbers, then rearrange the cards to create one smaller PDF in the exact order shown.

Separate every page

This mode creates an individual download for each page in preview order and supports documents up to 100 pages to keep browser memory use reasonable.

Review the output

Check that the correct pages were selected and that forms, links, signatures, and other advanced PDF features still behave as expected.

PDF splitting guide

PDF splitting can extract a useful subset into one document or create a separate file for each page. Selection uses the original source page numbers, while the preview positions control the output order.

Best uses

  • Extract one chapter, invoice, form, or certificate.
  • Remove unrelated pages by selecting only the pages you need.
  • Create separate single-page files from a scanned packet.

Quality checks

  • Confirm the source page count before entering ranges.
  • Open each result and verify the selected content.
  • Use only documents you are authorized to process.

Common mistakes

  • Using zero as a page number.
  • Entering a descending range such as 8-3.
  • Assuming digital signatures remain valid after pages are copied.

Selecting and arranging pages

A range such as 1-3,5,8-10 selects several sections without requiring multiple uploads. After selection, the preview can be reordered before download. This is useful when the required pages are correct but the source document places an attachment or signature page in the wrong position.

One document or separate files

Choose a combined result when the selected pages belong together. Choose separate files when a portal, reviewer, or workflow needs one page per upload. Open the downloaded result before deleting the source because copied pages can lose document-level features such as bookmarks or signatures.
